James Byrne Takes Commanding Lead Into Final 36 Holes of Scottish Boys Strokeplay Championship

Red hot favourite James Byrne from Banchory Golf Club will enter the final two rounds of the Scottish Boys Open Amateur Strokeplay Championship with a five-stroke lead at Cardrona, Peebles tomorrow.
Byrne submitted a second-round 69 for a halfway tally of eight-under-par 136.
With his overnight nearest rivals dropping shots, Byrne opened up a five stroke advantage over Scotland boys’ internationalist Michael Stewart from Troon Welbeck.
Next month, James heads out to Arizona State University for a four-year golf scholarship.
