Scottish Golf Union announce dates for 2008 Area Team Championship

The groups for the 2008 Scottish Golf Union Men’s Area Golf Team Championship are detailed below.

The final shall be played at Tain Golf Club, Ross-shire, (11th hole pictured above) a traditional Scottish Highland links course designed by Old Tom Morris, situated 9 miles south of Dornoch and 31 miles north of Inverness.

GROUP A
South, Angus, Borders, Perth & Kinross.
May 18: Angus v South, Borders v P&K.
August 3: South v Borders, P&K v Angus.
September 21: South v P&K, Angus v Borders.

GROUP B
Glasgow, Lothians, Renfrewshire, Dunbartonshire.
May 18: Lothians v Glasgow, Renfreshire v Dunbartonshire.
August 3: Glasgow v Rendrewshire, Dunbartonshire v Lothians.
September 21: Glasgow v Dunbartonshire, Lothians v Renfrewshire.

GROUP C
Ayrshire, Clackmannanshire, North-east, Argyll & Bute.
May 18: Clackmannanshire v Ayrshire, North-east v Argyll & Bute.
August 3: Ayrshire v North-east, Argyll & Bute v Clackmannanshire.
September 21: Ayrshire v Argyll & Bute, Clackmannanshire v North-east.

GROUP D
Stirlingshire, Fife, North, Lanarkshire.
May 18: Fife v Stirlingshire, North v Lanarkshire.
August 3: Stirlingshire v North, Lanarkshire v Fife.
September 21: Stirlingshire v Lanarkshire, Fife v North.
Group ties on May 18, August 3 and September 21.

Semi-finals and Final at Tain Golf Club, October 4-5 2008.
