Movers & Shakers 2008/07 - 22 Feb 2008 - No change at the top

Rickie Fowler of the USA continues to hold on to top spot in The R&A World Amateur Golf Ranking for the 23 week, with Daniel Willett of England (pictured below) in second place and Jamies Lovemark (USA) in third.

Jacques Blaauw of South Africa has continued his rich vein of form in 2008, moving up 69 places to No 128 with his victory in the Free State & Northern Cape Open at Schoeman Park. Two weeks ago he captured the South African Stroke Play Championship.


Brett Rankin (Australia), winner of last year’s Queensland Open-Von Nida event, has climbed into the top 100 with a 51-place move to No 84 and in Panama City Alvaro Ortiz of Costa Rica won the Central America Championship.

In America Grant Doverspike was the winner of the CSU San Marcos Invitational played at Bonsall, California, and Matthew Galloway took the Matlock Collegiate Classic title at Lakeland, Florida.

Emiliano Grillo of Argentina, joint winner last year of the Abierto Visa de la Republica, has added victory in the Campeonato Nacional por Golpes event played at Highland Park.
