PLANO, TEXAS, March 25, 2008 – The groundswell of PGA TOUR pros playing Idea hybrids continued last week as Adams Golf led the hybrid counts of the WGC-CA Championship and the Puerto Rico Open. The two events marked the 10th and 11th tournaments of the 2008 season that Adams Golf has had the #1 hybrid in play, according to the Darrell Survey. Year to date, Adams Golf has the #1 hybrid played on the PGA TOUR, Nationwide Tour and Champions Tour.

At the Puerto Rico Open, 31% of all the hybrids in play were from Adams Golf. The tournament champion played an 18-degree Idea Pro hybrid, marking the second time this season that a tournament champion played that hybrid model en route to victory. Idea hybrids, including the a3 Boxer, accounted for 22% of all the hybrids played at the WGC-CA Championship at Doral.

“We’re proud of our brand’s progress on Tour, especially this year’s hybrid success on the PGA TOUR,” said Chip Brewer, Adams Golf CEO and President. “One of our goals has been to become the hybrid of choice for tour caliber players. As judged by Darrell Survey results, we are continuing to make excellent strides towards this goal.”

Darrell Survey data from last season shows 262 Idea hybrids having been played through the first 14 PGA TOUR events compared to 372 Idea hybrids played in the 14 tournaments of 2008, a 42% gain YOY.
