Langer, who led Europe to victory against the United States at Oakland Hills Country Club in 2004, will be part of a first class Seniors line up competing for a €90,000 top prize at the Casa Serena Golf, Prague.

The German winner of the Masters Tournament at Augusta National in 1985 and 1993 is playing on the European Seniors Tour after passing his 50th birthday last year.

He will be joined in the inaugural tournament by another Ryder Cup winning Captain Sam Torrance, who led Europe to victory in 2002, and Italian Ryder Cup player Costantino Rocca.

Carl Mason, the European Seniors Tour all-time leading career money winner, will also tee up at Casa Serena Golf as he seeks his fourth Order of Merit crown in six seasons.

The Casa Serena Open, played on the course designed by European Golf Design, will have a prize fund of €600,000, one of the largest on the European Seniors Tour.
