Former Scottish Mens Internationalist Bryan Fotheringham wins North District Golf Championship

Former Scotland cap Bryan Fotheringham of Forres Golf Club (pictured below) took advantage of this year’s home venue to win the North District title for the first time.
Played over Forres’s Muiryshade course, the +3 handicapper secured victory with rounds of 69 and 65 for a a six-under-par total of 134.
Bryan finished a shot ahead of last year’s British boys’ championship beaten finalist, Fraser Fotheringham (Nairn) and Lossiemouth Golf Club greenkeeper Kevin Thomson.
18 year old Fraser Fotheringham, who is not a relation of Bryan, won the North District Youth Championship, five strokes ahead of local member Jeff Wright (16) who had a pair of 70s.
