Curtis Cup 2008

What is a reasonable time to play a round of golf in a competitive matchplay situation?

In the second days afternoon play at the Curtis Cup, the last match on the course, involving Alison Walshe and Stacy Lewis against Liz Bennett and Florentyna Parker, took five hours and 22 minutes to complete which is an absolute disgrace!

By the time this remaining match got to the final hole, most of the crowd had gone home. Is this what this golfing spectacle set out to achieve?
