South African Tyrone Ferreira tied with Matt Morris at Scottish Challenge event at Cardrona

South African Tyrone Ferreira (pictured below) birdied his final hole to tie with Matthew Morris from the Midlands at the top of the leaderboard at the end of Day 2 of the Scottish Challenge at Macdonald Cardrona Hotel Golf and Country Club near Peebles.

Ferreira and Morris lead by one stroke from England’s Seve Benson, who has already won on the PGA Europrotour and Challenge Tour in his rookie season. Benson is tied with the Scandanavian duo of Klas Eriksson and Jeppe Huldahl, and Aberdonian Greig Hutcheon.

Arizona State University based James Byrne (pictured above) who led after the opening day handled the pressure of leading a professional event really well and compiled a very steady score of one-over 72, to finish the day joint 10th on four under par 138, three shots off the lead.
