Montgomerie in pursuit of Pablo Larrazabal at the final day of French Open
Posted by under Latest Golf News, Mens Pro Golf
Lee Westwood and Colin Montgomerie, both former winners of the European Tour Order of Merit, trail lesser -known Spaniard, Pablo Larrazabal, by three strokes heading into today’s final round of the European Tour French Open.

Above, former European Number 1 Lee Westwood who is in with a chance of victory today
The way Larrazabal, the former Arizona State University student played yesterday it is difficult to imagine how Westwood and Monty are going to catch Larrazabal today, with the rest of the pack just that little too far back to register a win.
The 25 year old Spaniard from Barcelona produced a superb four-under-par 67 and is out on his own in the pole position at 11 under par with Monty and Dane Soren Hansen his closest challengers, with Westwood and Lynn one stroke further back.
A first prize of almost £528,000, a two-year tour exemption and a place in the coming Open Championship at Royal Birkdale is there for Larrazabal’s taking if he can win today.
