Scotland head qualifiers at 2008 European Mens Amateur Golf Team Championship

Scotland’s Mens Team headed the qualifiers after posting an identical total score of -11 to their opening score of 349 at Golf Club Royal Park, Turin, Italy.

Calum Macaullay, Gavin Dear and Michael Stewart posted scores of 70, Paul O’Hara fired a 74 and Wallace Booth added a 65 to go with his opening round of 69. Keir McNicoll’s score of 76 was non-counting, with only 5 scores out of 6 making up the final total.

Sweden and Germany finished in T2 position at seventeen-under par and England, Italy, Spain, Ireland and France made up the 1st flight matchplay qualifiers.

Chris Wood of England matched Wallace Booth’s low round of the day (65) but the Scot was the leading individual player with scores of 69 & 65 for a total of 134.
