Flooded Hills Golf Club course reduces The Dubliner Challenge in Sweden to 54 holes

Posted by Big G under Latest Golf News, Mens Pro Golf

Players were forced to run for cover as a heavy down pour and waterlogged course resulted in The Dubliner Challenge being cut from 72 to 54 holes in Sweden.

Denmark’s Mark Haastrup and England’s Rob Harris will start the final round in a share of the lead at the Hills Golf Club on the outskirts of Gothenburg.

The decision was taken to have a proper finish to the tournament today rather than start and be unable to finish play on Saturday and have to carry over.  The weather forecast is dry for today.

Behind Harris and Haastrup are Erik Algulin of Sweden who is a shot off the pace while Pablo del Grosso of Argentina and Germany’s Benjamin Miarka are tied for fourth place on two under par.
