Adams Golf Heads the Hybrid Count at FedExCup Playoffs
Posted by Big G under Buyers Guide, Hybrids, Latest Golf News, Mens Pro Golf
By winning the hybrid count at THE TOUR Championship, Adams Golf claimed the top position as the #1 hybrid of the 2008 FedExCup Playoffs. Sweeping the hybrid count at all four FedExCup Playoff tournaments adds to an already successful season for Adams Golf in which the company’s lineup of Idea hybrids have been the most played hybrids among PGA Tour pros at 34 of the 42 tournaments played so far, including all four major championships.
One-third of all hybrids played throughout the FedExCup Playoffs were Idea hybrids, including the Idea Pro Gold. Similar numbers and percentages have been seen throughout the year for Adams Golf as current Darrell Survey data shows 1,252 Idea hybrids have been put in play compared to 968 hybrids of the second-place company. Additionally, 117 different pros have played their Idea hybrids at PGA Tour events so far, and 12 of those found the winner’s circle, including the 2008 FedExCup Champion who played an Idea a3 Boxer Hybrid
For several years, Adams Golf has dominated the hybrid category on the Champions and Nationwide Tours and experienced significant growth and acceptance on the PGA Tour in 2008 with 34 hybrid count wins to date. By comparison, Adams Golf won 17 hybrid counts in 2007 and only one hybrid count on the PGA Tour in 2006.
