Paula Creamer rises to number 3 in the Women’s World Professional Rankings

Golf babe Paula Creamer’s victory in the recent LPGA Samsung World Championship resulted in her women’s world ranking improving by two spots to No. 3 in the latest publication.

The American recorded her eighth career tournament victory last weekend at Half Moon Bay, California. This was her fourth victory this year and solidified her position in relation to next year’s Solheim Cup selections. Her $1.7 million in winnings is second on the 2008 LPGA money list.

Creamer is just ahead of fourth-ranked Yani Tseng and 5th placed Norwegian Suzann Pettersen, both of whom dropped one place in the rankings as a direct result of Creamer’s victory.

Shin Ji-yai, Cristie Kerr and Lee Seon-hwa remain in sixth, seventh and tenth places.

Helen Alfredson moved up to one position to eighth place, with Karrie Webb moving down one place to ninth position.
