Seve Ballesteros in stable condition after collapsing at the Madrid Masters

Former Ryder Cup captain and major winner Seve Ballesteros is reported to be in a stable condition in a Madrid hospital after fainting and is undergoing tests.

In July 2007 nephew and manager Ivan Ballesteros said the star was found to have an irregular heartbeat, but that it was nothing too serious and a statement was issued he was doing “perfectly well”.
