Seve Ballesteros in stable condition after brain tumour operation

51 year old former major winner Seve Ballesteros was in a stable condition and transferred to intensive care after a brain tumour operation on Tuesday at Madrid’s La Paz Hospital.

The Spaniard was taken to the hospital last week after suffering dizziness and a brief loss of consciousness.

Yesterday’s sports daily Marca reported that the operation lasted 12 hours but did not say if the tumour was malignant or benign.
