Ireland defeated Scotland by seven matches to five to capture the Under 16 Four Nations Development Matches title at The Royal Dublin Golf Club.

The Ulster girls under 18 team retained the ILGU Girls InterProvincial Matches trophy for the 4th successive year after beating Connacht 8-0 in the final day of play.

Ulster convincingly won all three games with Munster finishing in runner-up position with two wins from their three matches played.

UNDER 18 GIRLS INTERPROVINCIAL MATCHES
BANGOR GOLF CLUB
26TH – 28TH MARCH 2008

Ulster convincingly beat Leinster by the margin of 6 1/2 - 1 1/2 and are on course to win the 2008 ILGU U-18 Girls InterProvincial Matches at Bangor Golf Club.

They are the only unbeaten team heading into the final day’s play tomorrow.

In the other match played, Munster beat Connacht by the margin of 6-2.

The Maguire twins, just back from their success in the French Lady Junior Championship, won both their matches for Ulster.
