Protest March Held against Donald Trump’s Menie Estate Plans

A protest march against Donald Trump’s plans for a £1 billion golf resort has been held.


Organisers said about 200 people took part in the event near the Menie Estate in Aberdeenshire.They are unhappy at the US property tycoon’s proposed development, which is due to be considered by councillors tomorrow, Tuesday 20 November 2007. This is because part of it would be built on a Site of Special Scientific Interest which includes protected sand dunes.

Jack Nicklaus Reveals New Course Design Planned for Stonehaven, Scotland

A new championship golf course has been mapped out by golf legend Jack Nicklaus.The 18-time Major winner and his design team were in Stonehaven, Kincardineshire, to inspect a site on a £40 million leisure development.

It includes an 18-hole championship course which designer Nicklaus says will provide a “memorable golfing experience”.
