Remembering Payne Stewart - Gentleman & Golf Champion

Posted by Big G under Golf Blog, Golf Blogs, Golf Video, Golf Videos

Whenever I look at Ian Poulter with all his trendy golf and funky golf clothing, with stripes, checks, plus fours &c. I immediately think of the late Payne Stewart, who tragically died in a plane crash. I decided to look into the archives of golf videos of Payne and this was one of the best ones I could find. I hope you enjoy this ‘wee’ trip down memory lane of Payne Stewart in action - a true gentleman and golf champion. Enjoy! The Editor, GolfbloggerUK

The ultimate golf fanatic cartoon

Posted by Big G under Golf Blog, Golf Blogger, Golf Blogs, Golf Humor

This is a jewel, or should it be crown jewels, of a golf cartoon in amidst today’s politically correct world, so I hope no one takes offence. My eyes water at the thought of this. Got me thinking about one golf fanatic by the name of Leslie Davie who used to cycle from Peterhead to Aberdeen, a distance of about 46 kilometers, to play in the golf medals at Aberdeen Kings Links and Nigg Bay Golf Club Balnagask Public Golf Courses. He would play his two rounds and then cycle back the 46 kilometers to Peterhead. Now that’s what I call a Golf Fanatic!

Head in a bin on a paralysis by analysis basis after golf lessons?!

Posted by Big G under Golf Blog, Golf Blogger, Golf Blogs

Is your head in a bin with golf lessons on a ‘paralysis by analysis’ basis? I can relate to this - there is nothing worse than going for a golf lesson and the professional gives you far too much to digest or is trying to make changes which you cannot visualize. I much prefer the more ‘natural’ approach where you get a particular thing to work with a drill as opposed to your head being full of mumbo jumbo - this golf cartoon sums it all up!
