Golf Video of Sergio Garcia in action at Hoylake in 2006

Posted by under Golf Action, Golf Swing Analysis Videos, Golf Videos

I think this is a really good action shot of Sergio Garcia on the 1st tee at The Open, Royal Hoylake.

Study the rythmn and width of turn which generates great power.  Also look at the right knee at the top of the backswing and fantastic extension through the ball. What a talent but unfortunately he is too emotional playing golf which has prevented him from winning a major to date.

Golf Video : Ernie Els practising on the range with a drill to stop dropping it inside in the golf back-swing

Posted by admin under Golf Coaching, Golf Swing Analysis Videos, Golf Videos

I believe in a swing thought of rythmn, timing and balance - if the rythmn is poor, it can lead to poor timing and balance, poor timing can result in off-balance etc.

Playing in the wind regularly can often lead to misalignment, which can greatly affect the golf swing plane. Sometimes if the wind has been coming 20-30 yards worth off the read it is easy to be aiming too far right and swinging it on the inside instead of a nice big wide turn and getting in the ’slot’ at the top of the back-swing.

Please click onto the video of Ernie Els practising. I feel this is a real good drill to stop golfers from swinging it on the inside and the drill should help far greater back-swing width.

Golf Video of Rambling Golf Pro Giving Lesson and Trick Shot

I was at Golfscape in Aberdeen(www.golfscapeonline.co.uk) recently as part of my friend’s 50th party day out.

What this entailed was my friend and I playing against two other mates around the Belfry on a golf simulator which was really good fun - if you have not tried interactive reality golf before, I highly recommend you give this a try.

When I seen this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svDFoBHzM1A&NR=1) it reminded me of my multi-talented partner hitting several trick shots, which amused the competitors and female audience. I did say to him that if he had moved quicker, he could have caught several shots. This video illustrates what I was saying!

Golf Video of Sergio Garcia in action

Posted by admin under Golf Swing Analysis Videos, Golf Videos

Sergio Garcia’s swing had similarities to the swing of the late Ben Hogan, whom many consider the best ball-striker of all time.

Main difference being the late But Hogan had better impact alignments. They both had incredible clubhead lag, but Sergio was on the verge of having too much. Considering Ben won four U.S. Opens, that’s an enviable comparison!

Sergio has matured, he has decreased the forward shaft angle at impact and has less clubhead lag. I feel his strengths are great posture, rhythmn, balance and control. This video clearly show swing improvements from Garcia’s young days.
