JB Holmes leads by one stroke heading into 3rd round of 90th USPGA Championship at Oakland Hills

Big-hitting American JB Holmes (pictured below) shot a 2nd round 68 and will take a one-shot lead ahead of England’s Justin Rose (67), American Ben Curtis (67) and South Korea’s Charlie Wi (70) into the third round of the 90th USPGA Championship at Oakland Hills.

Robert Karlsson and Jeev Milkha Singh tied for lead after opening day of USPGA Championship at Oakland Hills Country Club

Sweden’s Robert Karlsson (pictured below) and India’s Jeev Milkha Singh were tied for the lead at the conclusion of the first round of the US PGA Championship after posting two under scores of 68.

In the absence of Tiger Woods, John Daly is the big draw at the USPGA Championship

It’s been 17 years since John Daly, strode up the 18th fairway at Crooked Stick, a shock winner of the USPGA Championship. And it’s 13 years since he pulled off another stunner, winning the British Open at, of all places, St. Andrews - but despite these facts, Daly is still one of the crowds favourites. This probably due to his non-conventional cavalier approach to the game and the vast distnces he hits the golf ball.

This year’s USPGA Championship is the most wide open in recent years - this is a direct result of Tiger Woods not taking part in the event due to injury.
