2012 FedEx Cup Bonus Pool/ Payouts, Prizemoney, Purse, Money List, Winnings, Earnings &c.
Monday, 1 October 2012

I guess a number of you shall be wondering what sort of money is up for grabs in the 2012 FedEx Cup Golf Order of Merit/ Money Standings.
The FedExCup is a season-long competition in which players accumulate points in each eligible FedExCup Points event. At the end of the 2012 golf season, the winning player will be crowned the “PGA TOUR FedExCup Champion.
The PGA TOUR season is divided into three segments. These include the “FedExCup Season,” the “PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup” and the “PGA TOUR Fall Series.” The FedExCup Season generally include events between the beginning of each calendar year and the middle of August. The Playoffs include four events from the middle of August to the middle of September. Fall Series eventstake place between the end of the Playoffs and the end of the calendar year. Specific details of events falling into each segment are published annually with the PGA TOUR schedule.
The 2012 FedExCup Season will consist of the events beginning with the SBS Championship in Hawaii and ending with the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro.
The PGA TOUR Playoffs in 2012 consist of The Barclays, Deutsche Bank Championship, BMW Championship and THE TOUR Championship presented by CocaCola.
Points Distribution – FedExCup 2012 Season
• Official PGA TOUR events each award 500 FedExCup points to first place.
• The Masters Tournament, THE PLAYERS Championship, US Open Championship, British Open and the PGA Championship will award 600 FedExCup points to first place.
• The first three World Golf Championships events will award 550 FedExCup points to first place.
• Additional events played during the FedExCup Season (those played the same week as a major or World Golf Championships) will award 250 FedExCup points to first place.
Limited field events during the PGA TOUR Regular Season will not redistribute the points for places that do not play. Those points are not awarded to the field and the total points distributed will be slightly less than the total points as defined above. For example, if the 2010 SBS Championship has a field of 30 players, the points awarded will be based on the points that would be awarded to each individual position in a full-field event from positions 1 to 30. This will result in the points that would have otherwise been awarded from positions 31-70 in a regular event not being awarded in the tournament.
Another example is the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship, a 64-player field. In this limited-field event, points for positions 65 and beyond would not be awarded. All players losing in the first round would receive points for a T33 finish. All players losing in the second round would receive points for a T17 finish. All players losing in the third round would receive points for a T9 finish. All players losing in the fourth round would receive points for a T5 finish.
At the conclusion of the FedExCup 2012, a total sum of $35,000,000 shall be paid out. FedEx Cup 2012 bonus money will be distributed as follows:

We love golf and enjoy watching it every Sunday.
But the pay out for the fed-ex is just gone over the top.
It\'s no wonder a case of coke, is priced at what it is. And sending a parcel now has become ridiculous as well. Obviously neither of you need our support, because you already have to much money. You are the one percent and contribute to making the one percent even richer while the ticket prices to such events are as high as they are.
It is always fun to watch the final day of a major golf tournament, but seeing the winner receive a 'bonus' check for 10 Million Dollars, just brings one word to mind........... why?
It certainly seems that the usual prize range of 1 plus million would make for a nice enough Sunday evening for the winner. Nobody really needs to receive an ADDDITIONAL 10 MILLION DOLLARS for winning a golf tournament.
I 'm thinking that FEDEX and the WINNER had to feel just a little uncomfortable, as millions were passed from one millionaire to another, for the whole world to see, except of course, for the millions of children, surviving in the streets of major cities everywhere.
Find a better way to spend your profits FEDEX, and be a little more gracious with your immense success, in a time where people everywhere are suffering major economic woes.

I suppose other professional sports that have guaranteed money is better? At least these guys have to perform to get paid! The PGA and its players give more money to charity than most can comprehend! I for one am thankful for the one percent and their contributions to the economy and charity...
None of the $35,000,000 when to charity. I am boycotting Fed Ex. Their shipping charge\'s are the highest in the world. Just think, they charge this $35,000,000.00 off their income tax.So you pay it not them.
