Thomas Coulson , on his pro debut, claimed victory via a play off in the 66 pro tour event at East Sussex National. A field of 60 top professional golfers gathered at the impressive East Course ,with Sean Whiffin (The Hertfordshire) scoring a fine two under par 70 to match Coulson at the top of the leaderboard. Steve Cowle and Laurence Dodd finished in third place on 71.

Tour founder, Paul Gilbert says “We’re delighted the tour is proving to be popular and each event is growing bigger than the last. Our aim is to provide both quality and fairness, and we do this through choosing top venues and paying out most of the entry fees in prize money.”

The tour’s next stop is at Old Thorns, Hampshire on 1st September. Players can qualify for the final at either of the remaining events, or they can compete in both.

The 66 Pro Tour is open to all professional golfers from the UK and overseas. Devised by former Challenge Tour player Paul Gilbert from Berkshire, the tour has been created to fill a gap in the market for tournament golf, which will appeal to competitive professionals.
