Cathy Panton-Lewis of Scotland wins 1st lady pro prize at French Senior Ladies Golf Open Championship

Sunningdale Ladies Golf Club and part-time ladies golf professional Cathy Panton-Lewis of Scotland, won the professional section of the French Senior Ladies Golf Open Championship at Chantaco Golf Club, Biarritz, France with scores of 78, 74 and 71 for a 54-hole total of 223.
The daughter of the Scottish Golf Legend John Panton, finished two shots ahead of American Corinne Reybroek who scored 75 74 and 76.
The ladies amateur golf title was won by senior ladies golfer Virginie Burrus of the St Cloud Golf Club, Paris with scores of 74, 70 and 78 for a total of 222 to win by one stroke from Cecilia Mourgue d’Algue who scored 72, 79 and 72.
Lancashire-based Scottish Ladies Golf exile Dr Maureen Richmond finished seventh in the amateur ladies golf section with scores of 74, 75 and 81 for 230.
