Crown Golf Academy at Oak Park Golf Club to feature regularly on golfing TV show; recognition for excellence in junior golf tuition and coaching

The award-winning Crown Golf Academy at Oak Park Golf Club in Surrey will feature on national TV in August when Head PGA Coach, Gavin Grenville-Wood, and 35 of his Oak Park Juniors appear on “Golfing World” on Sky Sports.

Filming has already begun for the 5-7 minute special features focusing on junior instruction. Each week Grenville-Wood will demonstrate some of the key learning points and principles from the Crown Golf Junior Academy to three children at a time of mixed ability, aged between six and 17 years old.

“Golfing World” airs at 10pm on a Monday and Tuesday night on Sky Sports 4. The programme is also broadcast internationally across 40 different countries, as well as via the Golfing World television website www.golfingworld.tv and on in-flight entertainment channels.

The “Golfing World” television exposure follows extensive media coverage of last year’s ‘Oak Park Junior Ryder Cup’ and the continuing reputation of the Crown Golf Junior Academy programme.

Speaking on behalf of the Crown Golf Academy at Oak Park Golf Club, Grenville-Wood said: “We are delighted to have been chosen by “Golfing World” for its new junior instruction slot. Crown Golf Academies has an excellent infrastructure, and our team is passionate about coaching juniors of all abilities, and developing this great game of golf.

“The juniors being filmed are a bit nervous, but love the idea of seeing themselves on TV. We are very proud of them.”

Simon Edwin, General Manager of Oak Park Golf Club, added: “The Crown Golf Academy at Oak Park is one of the largest and best in the country. It is great that we will be able to showcase our abilities to a wider audience.

“Gavin and his team are brilliant coaches, so let’s hope their television appearances inspire many more children to get out onto the golf course and play!”
