Jim Gales, the event organiser said, "We had disabled members and their coaches attending from as far afield as Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perthshire, as well as locally based golfers.  The Elmwood members have been great and generous hosts in previous years and we always look forward to a friendly match.  This is the eighth year we have played for the Cup and its one of our most popular competitions, all thanks to a warm welcome from the Elmwood players."

Some of the SDGP participants will now ready themselves for the journey to Northumberland's Slaley Hall Golf Resort, for the inaugural three day "Auld Enemies", Ryder Cup match.  This will be the first ever pan-disability international between the two nations and Team Scotland will take thirteen disabled players and five coaches to Slaley.  An event the SDGP has arranged and organised.
