Stephanie Meadow of Royal Portrush Golf Club, Ireland, who is based with her parents in the USA, has made a significant impact on the U.S College Golf Circuit and is currently the highest ranked GB&I player after her first semester as a golf scholarship student at the University of Alabama.

The University of Alabama Women's Golf Team member, who lies 48th in the Golfweek U.S College Golf ranking, has made a significant contribution to her ladies golf team being ranked the No.1 Women's Golf Team on the US Collegiate Golf Circuit for the first time in their history.

Meadow had a very consistent run of fine performances during her opening semester which included a T25th finish in her first U.S Collegiate  Golf Tournament at the NCAA Fall Preview played at the Traditions Golf Club in Bryan, Texas, 13-15 September,  2010, where her ladies golf team also claimed victory.

Stephanie recorded another top 25 finish as the University of Alabama claimed their second win of the season at the Tar Heel Invitational played over the UNC Finlay Golf Course at Chapel Hill, North Carolina, 8-10 October 2010.

The University of Alabama finished their Fall 2010 schedule of tournaments at the PAC 10 - SEC Challenge played at Stanford Golf Club, Stanford, California, 5-7 November 2010 and finished in runner-up spot with Stephanie claiming her best finish of the semester in T16th place.

The University of Alabama Women's Golf Team will next be in action in early February 2011 at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.

The Irish golfer's impressive results on the U.S Junior Golf Circuit this Summer were also recognised during October 2010 when she was named as one of 12 girls on the Rolex Junior All-America First Team.
