The 2012 SDGP season finale is hosted by Tulliallan Golf Club at Kincardine on Forth

The final SDGP match was played at the lovely Tulliallan Golf Club at Kincardine on Forth. The weather didn’t live up to the promised showers and a pleasant day of golf was had by all.  Thanks to the Tulliallan members who guided our players around Tulliallan golf course.  This match was also the final order of merit match and coaches championship. 


Results for the day are as follows.

1st Peter Osborne from Carnforth with 40 points

2nd Derek Milne from Upper Largo with 36 points

3rd Jim Gales from springfield with 34 points

Best Tulliallan player was Ian Boyd with 37 points

Best team result was Jim Gales, Paul Shepherd and Gordon Lyons with 97 points. 

SDGP Order of Merit Results

Order of merit champion Colin Brock from Glenrothes with 234 points

2nd Ian White from Airdrie with 218 points

3rd Steve Cunningham from Newton with 210 points

4th Peter Osborne from Carnforth with 207 points 

Order of Merit Coaches champion Paul Shepherd from Tayport with 175 points

2nd Stewart Copland from Johnstone with 171 points

3rd Jim McLeod from Edinburgh with 146 points

4th  Donald Harper from Dunblane with 143 points 

Junior champion was Daniel Harper from Dunblane   

A new trophy was awarded by Colin Brock for the commitment & excellence.

This was awarded to Peter Osborne not only for his hole in one this year but the determination to play at SDGP events Peter lives in Carnforth Lancashire and most of our events are in Scotland. He attended 13 events travelling mainly by bus and train to get to and from these events.  

Jim Gales SDGP Chairman said “This has been a great year for the SDGP with a 4 day world cup at Westerwood a 3 day Scottish championship at Dulatur and a 3 day Auld Enemies Clash at Slayley Hall being played on top of the regular single day match like we have just played here at Tulliallan.  A big thank you to all the golf clubs that support SDGP events without them disabled golf in Scotland would not exist.”   

The Scottish Disability Golf Partnership is governed and operated by disabled people and is the only group in Scotland which actively encourages and involves anyone of any age, with a disability, serious health problem or mobility issue and their coaches, who wish to play golf and includes amputees, the blind, deaf, those with learning difficulties, downs syndrome, stroke and heart attack victims, wheelchair users and anyone with other similar issues, who wish to learn or play the sport.
