The Amateur Championship Scores - Scotland's James Byrne to face Jin Jeong of South Korea in final

Scotland's James Byrne shall face Jin Jeong of South Korea in the final of the 2010 Amateur Championship at Muirfield Golf Course, East Lothian, Scotland.

The Arizona State University (ASU) student beat Walker Cup player Chris Paisley of Stocksfield Golf Club by 2 and 1. Byrne has a chance of becoming the first Scotsman to win the Amateur Championship on home soil since Stuart Wilson won the event at St Andrews in 2004.

In the other semi final tie Jin Jeong beat Matthew Nixon of Ashton under Lyne Golf Club by the comprehensive margin of 5 and 4 to become the first Asian Golfer to reach the final of the British Amateur Golf Championship.

The South Korean resides in the Australia and has won two of Australia’s most prestigious amateur golf championships this year, the Tasmanian Open and Riversdale Cup.
