The PGA Tour Waste Management Phoenix Open 2012 shall be played at TPC Scottsdale Golf, Scottsdale, Arizona, USA.
At the 2011 event, there was a total purse of $6.1 million and the winning share was $1,080,000. The winner also received 500 2011 FedExCup Points.
The past two PGA Phoenix Opens in Scottsdale have been won by American Hunter Mahan and more recently by compatriot Mark Wilson.
Hunter, won in regulation 72 holes of play, whereas Wilson had to go into extra time before beating fellow-countryman, Jason Dufner.
Both Dufner and Wilson had finished on -18, 266. The victory was Wilson’s second in three starts and fourth of his career. It moved Wilson into first place in the 2011 FedExCup race.
