Best Golf Drivers 2012 - Callaway Golf RAZR X Black Driver Review/ Buyers Guide
RAZR X Black Driver
Callaway Golf Company has crafted a very hot golf driver that looks just as mean as it behaves. This new golf driver features Forged Composite material in the crown and Distance Trajectory Weighting for maximum golf distance in a high launch, low spinning ball flight. The RAZR X Black Driver also incorporates a Black PVD Finish for a pure look that delivers the ultimate in speed and accuracy off the tee.
Forged Composite Construction
This Callway Driver has been designed with revolutionary material in the crown that’s lighter and stronger than titanium. The crown contains over 7 million turbostratic carbon fibers, which results in an optimum center of gravity and high MOI.
Distance Trajectory Weighting
Optimizes the centre of gravity (COG), promoting the ideal conditions for maximum distance with a high launch, low spinning golf ball flight. Forged Composite allows incorporation of a full-length hosel while maintaining a low centre of gravity for optimal performance characteristics.
Streamline Surface Technology
Aerodynamic contours reduce energy loss from drag during the downswing by 17% compared to the Diablo Octane Golf Driver. Streamlined Surface Technology creates higher impact speeds for greater distance.
Speed Frame Face Technology
A combination of Callaway Golf VFT and Hyperbolic Face Technology creates a large sweet spot and high golf ball speeds across the titanium face for optimum and consistent distance from the tee. This golf technology saves weight that can be redistributed to the perimeter of the golf clubhead for a high MOI. The chemical milling process used by Callaway selectively removes excess material for precision thickness control.
Black PVD Finish
The Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) Finish comes from a high-tech process that produces a distinctive look for inspiring confidence.

GolfbloggerUK's Test Drive:
Another fantastically looking golf club from Callaway, albeit this is not as sleek looking as it's brother, the adjustible RAZR FIT driver.
This confidence-inspiring black headed golf driver comes with a large non-adjustable clubhead, neutral face position, shallow crowns and sits really well at address position. The Forged Composite design delivers impressive golfing distance, even on off-centre golf shots which miss the sweet spot.
This golf driver inspires confidence. This golf club moves the golf ball really well - low penetrating fade off a low tee and high draw with minimum spin off a high tee during testing. I would have no hesitation in recommending this driver to our network of golfers.
