Golf Trick Shot King Jeremy Dale wows crowds on Srixon-sponsored Celtic Tour
Monday, 22 June 2009
Jeremy Dale, The Trick Shot King, entertained crowds across Scotland and Ireland this month with an array of his amazing right and left-handed golf shots.
The UK’s only ambidextrous trick shot artist toured Scotland and the Emerald Isle as part of a Srixon-sponsored promotional tour, visiting famous courses such as Royal Troon, Dalmahoy, Murcar, County Sligo and The K Club, scene of Europe’s last Ryder Cup win in 2006.
Dale’s repertoire included his Happy Gilmore-shot, taken from the film in which an ice hockey player runs at the ball for every shot, and the Vertical Driver, where Dale hits a ball 300-feet straight up into the air from a high tee.
But it is Dale’s ability to switch hands and hit great shots right or left-handed that is the key to his shows. He has been described as two golfers in one body and, remarkably, there is little difference in the left or right-handed swings.
Dale said: “This was the second Celtic Tour we’ve done and just like last year, the crowds were very welcoming. The kids especially were very keen to try the trick-shots. In fact I have heard from a number of clubs I visited that attendance at junior lessons has increased as all the kids want to try trick shots.”
Leslie Hepsworth, Srixon managing director for the UK and Ireland, added: “We have been delighted with this year’s Srixon Celtic Tour events and as always Jeremy’s show has been a huge hit with everyone who came along and an excellent showcase for Srixon’s products.’’
Dale added: “In the five years I have been involved with Srixon I have seen the brand go from being almost unknown to a market leader. The new Z-Star is the best ball Srixon has ever produced and Srixon produce superb clubs too. I love the drivers and fairway woods especially.
