A very challenging course awaited the players from the Scottish Disability Golf Partnership who travelled from various parts of Scotland to play.

The SDGP is operating a Scottish Order of Merit Table, which will conclude at the end of this month and, with only a few remaining counting events to go, before the announcement of the 2009 winner, leading golfers include Bob Drysdale from Tayport, with Jim Gales of Springfield only a few points behind and Steve Cunningham of Newton, Steve Bramwell of Johnstone and John McCue of Renfrew in close pursuit.

Steve Bramwell, the SDGP Secretary said, "Some of the holes were a real challenge, but with such beautiful surroundings and a fantastic layout, what a great course to play and with a warm clubhouse welcome, what more could we ask for?"

The winners on the day were-

Bob Drysdale of Tayport with 32 points and Steve Cunningham of Newton with 31. Leading coaches were Peter Belcher of Edinburgh and Bill Dickman of Kinghorn.

The next SDGP event is a PGA Training day at Wellsgreen in Kirkcaldy, a team match with the Elmwood Golfing Society and a match at Kinross Golf Club. Several other events will culminate in a Par-3 Championship in Edinburgh in October and more information can be found at www.sdgp.co.uk
