Uncertainty as to whether PING are supplying Scottish Golf Charity with Tour Bag owed to GolfbloggerUK
Thursday, 4 February 2010

At GolfbloggerUK, we have our own charity - we support the Scottish Disability Golf Charity and I shall be down in person with my wife, Linda for the first event of the 2010 golf season.
Nike Golf have recently forwarded their new range of golf woods which shall be presented to this charity after testing. We have also arranged for 40 packs of Mirror Golf Tees to be forwarded direct to this charity.
A commitment was made by Ping a considerable period of time ago to supply me with a Tour Bag as part a purchase transaction. This bag was to contain our logo, which was provided to Ping as part of the supply of the bag. It would be reasonable to conclude the reason this was provided and accepted by way of e mail by Ping was with a view to honouring this commitment.
To date, Ping have failed to honour this commitment. In actual fact, Ping have provided misinformation regarding the ordering of this bag. As a compromise, I asked Ping to supply this tour bag to the charity of my choice without our logo, the charity and myself were under such an impression, only for the charity to advise me that Ping were refusing to do so, as they were already providing other golf gear to the charity, which is covered by separate agreement.
Earlier today, I contacted Dave Fanning at Ping to find out what the true position was and he asked me to stop "harassing" Ping. This is a tour golf bag to a charity we are talking about and I find this in extremely bad taste.
It is my intention to publish a golf blog each day with the material facts until I have received a suitable and sufficient response from Ping in this regard.
